Four Seasons of Bright Maroon Color!
Many gardeners dread the winter season because their landscaping loses its vibrant color. That's exactly when Crimson Fire™ Loropetalum comes to the rescue! This dwarf evergreen stunner adds scarlet-red-wine-colored foliage to your garden all year long.
As a compact bush, this variety stands only four feet high at maturity, making it an ideal choice for adding varying heights to your yard and perfect for small spaces, borders and containers.
Wherever you plant it, the Crimson Fire™ Loropetalum’s purplish-red color will add welcome contrast to fall and winter greens and browns. In spring, too, this variety doesn’t disappoint - your Crimson Fire Loropetalum will sprout with a mass of colorful pink flowers!
And adding the Crimson Fire™ Loropetalum to your landscaping is easy. It requires minimal care and is pest and disease-free. Even deer stay away!
Liven up your landscaping with four-season color, and order your Crimson Fire™ Loropetalum today!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: You can plant your Loropetalum at any time of the year in an area with full or partial sun. It prefers well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as your plant's shipped container, and equally as deep. Place your Loropetalum in the hole, and backfill with soil, tamping down to remove air pockets. Water well after planting.
2. Watering: Water your Loropetalum thoroughly after planting, and keep watering your bush once or twice a week until it establishes. Be sure to mulch the roots if you live in an area with extreme temperatures.
3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Loropetalum with a slow-release, balanced fertilizer in spring to ensure healthy growth.
4. Pruning: No pruning is needed, but the Loropetalum can tolerate heavy pruning if you want to shape it, remove dead branches, or conform with your landscape setting. Pruning is best done after the flowering season - avoid pruning in early spring or winter.
