Elegant Pine for Japanese-Inspired Landscaping

Named for its unusual, umbrella-shaped circular needles, the Japanese Umbrella Pine is a sophisticated alternative to other evergreens. The tree’s delicate needles and attractive cylindrical shape add a tranquil, Asian-inspired flow to your landscaping.

This Pine is unique enough to be used as a focal point or as contrast in a tableau of other greenery. It's an ideal partner to shorter bushes, rocks, and taller trees, creating a refreshing and eye-catching landscape look. Its tall, thin beauty, gorgeous texture and vivid green color adds effortless grace to any setting.

And what’s more is that there's no guesswork when planting and caring for a Japanese Umbrella Pine. This Pine maintains a consistent size and shape even without pruning, so you can watch your tree flourish without all the work!

The stylish Japanese Umbrella Pine adds refinement to any landscaping - order yours today!

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Your tree should be planted in a sunny spot (6 to 8 hours of sun per day) with well-drained soil.

After you’ve selected your location, dig a hole that’s at least two to three times wider than your tree’s root ball. Once you’ve placed the tree, backfill its soil, tamp down to avoid air pockets, and lastly, water to help establish its roots.

2. Watering: Water your tree regularly (approximately one thorough watering each week) to maintain soil moisture.

If you’re not sure when to water, or how much to water, simply check the Japanese Umbrella Pine's surrounding soil, down to around 2 or 3 inches. If you feel dry soil, it’s time to water to moistness but not oversaturation.

3. Pruning: Pruning is only necessary to remove dead or damaged branches.
