Non-Fruiting "Fruit" Tree
I absolutely hate deceptive marketing practices. I am extremely disappointed to discover that this very expensive olive tree is non-fruiting. This fact is buried in the description of the plant (which is very easy to miss) and conflicts with other language in the description which indicates that the plant is self pollinating and states you will get fruit with only one plant. I don't believe this plant should be in the "fruit tree" category if it doesn't bear fruit. Lastly, the plant arrived in a ridiculously large box (this size of a large tree) which is quite wasteful with regards to use of packaging.
Strong Olive Tree
Although the shipping was abusive to the tree (11 days inside a dark box), seems like the little tree is going to survive. Appears to be strong and is doing well repotted in the back yard. No leaves are dropping, and I'm hopeful it will thrive. Albeit the shipping issue, it's a nice plant with a size compatible with the price. I'm happy.
