Giant, Delicious Limes
The Persian Lime Tree is what most of us picture when we think of a typical lime, though frankly the taste of this lime is not typical; it is delicious. This wonderful tree was commercially cultivated in Florida starting around 1882. For more than a century, the Persian Lime was extensively grown in that region, then in 1992 Hurricane Andrew devastated the crop. You can now re-establish this delicious lime in your own backyard!
Sun Loving
The Persian Lime Tree is not difficult to grow if we remember that limes love full sun and heat. At 30°F they will become damaged and below 24°F they die. We would not recommend planting them in the ground below zone 9/9b or 10. If you live in zone 8 and have a protected and sunny area, you may have luck, however, we recommend planting in a pot that can be moved indoors.
Easy to Grow
When planted, it must be in well-drained soil, pH neutral or slightly acidic. In planting, the hole must be at least twice the size of the root ball and the root ball should be in a mound above soil level to create better drainage.
Low Maintenance
The Persian Lime Tree should be watered regularly after being planted. For the very best yields, prune the mature trees to about 8 feet tall.

Wonderful service and a perfect healthy lime tree!
While shopping online, I noticed a banner indicating the lime tree I was trying to order couldn't be shipped to my state (LA). After having tried every local nursery, only to learn that it was too late in the spring to purchase citrus trees locally, I was truly disheartened to see this message and thought my last shot at getting a line tree this spring was going to be a bust. Nonetheless, I called the customer service line and was greeted by the nicest person, she was quickly able to redirect me to a slightly different link that would ship the same lime tree from a different location! She literally saved the day! A little over a week later, a perfectly beautiful, healthy little lime tree (2ft) arrived at our door! Having read the warnings about the effects shipping can have on the plants, I was thrilled with the condition of the tiny tree when I opened the box! The lime tree was a 4th (fruit) anniversary gift and it couldn't have been more perfect! We can't wait to enjoy fresh limes from our very own tree for years to come!
Perfectly packaged - Looks very healthy
Packed with care and delivered unscathed. Have only just planted. Has been re-planted for about a week and looks healthy. Very impressed with what I've seen so far. Thank you!
Well packaged and healthy
It’s too soon to say how well it’s going to do but it came in a very healthy state actually I ordered two and they both look great
Beauty!
We received our Lime and Lemon tree and were so excited. We planted them in Smart Pots and are taking care of them like they are a brand new baby. I find myself talking to them :) I have always lived in the Pacific NW but now live in Calif. so am very excited to be able to grow a citrus tree. They arrived looking good, now it is a matter of keeping them that way :)
