Vivid Yellow Flower Clusters on a Hardy Lantana
Get sunny-yellow blooms throughout the summer with this no-maintenance plant! Native to North America, the Chapel Hill Yellow Lantana was developed to withstand heat, drought, and cold temperatures - making it the hero of your summer landscape.
With larger flower clusters than other Lantanas, Chapel Hill Yellow delivers color and texture. Its bright yellow blooms contrast beautifully agains its deep green foliage, which can remain evergreen in warmer climates. Even better? The vivid blooms are excellent at attracting pollinators like birds, bees and butterflies to your yard.
The Chapel Hill Yellow Lantana will thrive nearly anywhere its planted, from garden beds to patio containers, window boxes and large, open landscape areas. With these blooms lasting from spring to the first frost, you'll get long-lasting color that pairs well with pink or purple flowering plants, as well as surrounding greenery.
Your Chapel Hill Yellow Lantana will grow as a gorgeous annual in cooler climates, or year-round in warmer areas (zones 7 and below). Just plant or place it in an area with full sun, and enjoy!
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant your Lantana in full sun. Allow enough open air access for pollinators to find it and get to it. If planting in the ground, space approximately 16 inches apart.
Hardy to any soil type, your Lantana can even be planted in an urban environment. It would do well in a container pot, hanging basket, or even along a curb or walkway.
2. Watering: This Lantana is drought tolerant and doesn't require excessive watering. Watch for any standing water, as this can damage the plant.
3. Pruning: This Lantana requires minimal pruning. Simply remove any dead growth as needed.
4. Fertilizing: Fertilizing is not required but can be done if desired.
