The Summit Grape is a member of the Muscadine family and is more specifically referred to as a Scuppernong because of its greenish, rosy-bronze coloration. Native to the southeastern United States, Summit Grapes love the warmer climates but are versatile and easy to grow, and can even be found thriving as far north as Indiana.Muscadines differ slightly from the familiar bunch grape, in that they grow in smaller clusters, the vines themselves look a bit different, and the fruit's skin is somewhat thicker. If the idea of growing grapes seems beyond your green thumb comfort zone, try the Summit Grape Vine to put your mind at ease. It is even beginner friendly!
Muscadines are adaptable to almost any soil type as long as it is well-drained. They are heat and drought tolerant, and pest and disease resistant. Flourishing in growing zones 6-10, this vine will mature to heights of 6-12 feet. With a multitude of uses, this spectacular vine will quickly rise to superstar status on any stage in your landscape design.
Summit Grape vines can be grown against a fence, or over an arbor or trellis. For a gorgeous addition to your deck or patio, plant your vines in pretty pots for portable decor wherever you want it. You may want to keep these vines within easy reach for all to admire and sample the tasty treats.
For best results, select areas where your vines will receive full sun. The Summit Grape Vine bears female flowers that require pollination to set fruit. We recommend pairing with our Triumph Grape Vine for a fabulous bounty of delicious, healthy snacks all season long.
Summit Grapes mature early, from August through September. You'll know your fruit is ready for harvest when a gentle shaking of the vine easily frees the mature clusters. Growing grapes doesn't get easier than this.

Summit Grape vines
The grape vines were package well and professionally. The plant was a very nice size, bigger than anticipated. Gave it only four stars because of the multiple yellow leaves and leaves with spots. However over all the plants did appear healthy and after I planted the grapes most of the bad leaves dropped off and the plant overall it seems to be doing well ..The true test will be within the next 1 to 2 years hopefully with a good production of grapes 😊
