Multiple Eye-Catching Colors on One Stunning Bush
Hydrangea bushes are among the most robust and prolific bloomers found in gardens today, so it's no surprise that the Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea was voted 'Top Plant of 2010' by the American Nursery and Landscape Association. Known for its color-changing blooms, this hardy shrub never disappoints.Around mid-summer, depending upon your region, delicate creamy white flowers emerge in generous cone-shaped clusters at the ends of sturdy red stems. As the flowers mature, they begin to turn blush in color, making their magical transformation from ivory to cotton-candy pink and then finally aging to a rich strawberry-red or maroon.
Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea exhibits vibrant green foliage on densely packed stems that grow upright from a central trunk, cascading in a gentle arc as they rise. This leggy shrub is a member of the paniculata family and can easily be pruned to take the shape of a lovely little tree.
Vanilla Strawberry™ blooms continuously from mid-summer through late autumn, so you'll enjoy a constant parade of flowers in various stages of color, liberally scattered throughout a gorgeous thicket of rich green foliage.
Flourishing in zones 4-8, the Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea matures to heights of about 4-6 feet with a similar spread. This shrub appreciates partial to full sun, and is very easy to manage; just a thick layer of organic mulch to protect its roots, a bit of clipping to maintain desired size and shape, and an annual feeding is about all this carefree beauty will require.
Use this shrub as a flowering privacy hedge or as an ornamental to offset the corners of your home. Train the Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea to take the shape of a tree and plant in small groupings for accent, anywhere you need a punch of color. This shrub can be container-grown for patio or deck decor.
Resistant to pests and disease, this resilient plant even withstands urban pollution. No matter where you live, in the country or the city, you can look forward to a carnival of color in your garden all season long, as well as fresh-cut bouquets to liven up your indoor environment.
The Vanilla Strawberry™ Hydrangea is our most requested flowering shrub this season. The demand has been overwhelming, so orders yours today, while supplies last.

Plants Survived a Bad Shipping after a Few Days of Special Care
I ordered two hydrangea bushes. I opened the box immediately after delivery. One of the pots was covered in plastic and zip tied, which helps keep the soil and moisture into the plant. The other pot had plastic around the pot but was not zip tied and in transit the dirt had fallen out and the plant was allowed to move around. One branch of the plant was dead and the rest was very wilted and traumatized by the shipping. I watered and checked the plants over carefully - and wasn't sure I would be able to "save" the damaged plant. The next day I planted it, and it took about 6-7 days of care and watching it before it seemed to recover. Overall, the plants I think will be beautiful but the shipping was not as good as it is with other plants from other nurseries.

This looks great, so far.
This looks great, so far. I’d like to review next year when the plant has a chance to perform.
